Where I have been

Hey Y'all! I wish I had some interesting or cute story about what I have been doing and why I've been gone so long.  I don't, so here is where I have been.

When you heard from me last we had just gotten notice from our landlord that the house we were renting was being foreclosed on and we needed to find a new place to live. By the grace of God we found a place and moved in during the month of September.  Shortly after completing the move my pregnant belly knocked the laptop off the desk and shattered the screen. Being pregnant and tired I wasn't too worried and getting it fixed and just figured I would get back to blogging on my tablet, maybe in the new year.

On December 15, at about 28 weeks pregnant I went to a check up and found out our baby no longer had a heartbeat.  It was unexpected and extremely traumatic for our family.  In the emotion of the moment we decided to get my tubes tied, a repeat c-section, since we had planned on this being our last baby. (This is a decision I now wished I had waited on.) Our family struggled through the holiday season, but it hurts a little less every day.

The new year brought the kids finishing school in early March.  We started early, hoping to be done b the time the baby arrived.  They really enjoyed a lot of free time.  My Mom came out to visit and we made a trip to North Carolina to visit my Mom.  Mr. Daddy got to see the ocean for the very first time.

Mr. Daddy had gastric bypass surgery, he is doing great and has lost over 70 pounds this year already. We have made many lifestyle changes as a family and joined a gym.  I'm losing weight too.

We decided that I should take the kids to North Carolina for a month, so they could spend some time with their cousins, who were in school during our previous visit. The kids loved it and had so much fun.

We started our school year on July 31st. We decide to finally set up the co-op with our sweet southern friends and meet once a week. We are currently in our third week of our 2017-2018 school year.

I have FINALLY decided to start writing a book.  I have wanted to write one since high school, and I have decided to go for it.

Well, that was where I have been. Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment. I live hearing from y'all.

Until next time,

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - August 20, 2016

Join me and Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers as we recap our week.

Hey y'all! How was your week? My week was busy and full of craziness. I started this week off by scheduling dental and optomistrist appointments for the kids, a well child check for Mr. Mister, and an appointment with a new OB/GYN.  I also managed to get eight pounds of hamburger cooked up, bagged, and frozen.  This was no small task considering the smell of raw hamburger is yucky to my pregnant nose.

I was able to get in to see my new OB this week and I got to see the baby kicking and moving around via ultrasound.  I really like my new OB, Dr. S.  She really makes me feel comfortable and safe.

We ended our week with some news about some big upcoming choices that we have to make.  We are trying to walk by faith in this situation, but would love your prayers  Now on to our homeschool week.

Bee did well this week.  She really stayed focus and was able to move smoothly through her school work.

Bug had some problems staying on track this week and struggled to finish her work in a timely manner.

Mr. Mister has struggled with not distracting his sisters while they are trying to do school work.  The upside is he has done a great job with potty training this week.

Well, that was our week.  Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.  I love hearing from y'all.

Until next time,

Week 11 Pregnancy Update - August 14, 2016

Hey y'all. We are officially 11 weeks pregnant.  There are only a couple of weeks left in the first trimester!

I am considered high risk due to several factors, including advanced maternal age, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia in previous pregnancy, gestational diabetes in previous pregnancy, and concern with the possibility of shortening cervix.  This means I will be watched more closely then the average pregnancy. I have already been seen twice.  I have an appointment in two weeks for another ultrasound to check cervical length again,  I will also have to go in again two weeks after that to do a glucose test.

I was a little thrown off when I called to make my first appointment and was told the OB who delivered Bug and Mr. Mister no longer does deliveries.  After discussing it with Mr. Daddy we have decided to look for an OB closer to us.  It has been a long and difficult processes, but hopefully we have found an option.  I'll have to let you know next week.

Well, that's the update for the week.  Please pray for our family and the baby.

Until next time,

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - August 13, 2016

Join me and Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers as we recap our week.

Hey y'all! How was your week? My week was SUPER excitiing. It is with great pleasure that we share, we are expecting #4!  We will be 11 weeks on Sunday, the 14th.  We decided to wait to tell people until after our first ultrasound.  On Thursday we got to see our newest little one.
This pregnancy is so much different from every other one.  I have been so nausous. Combine that with my "advanced maternal age" we were a little worried that we were carrying twins.  Mr. Daddy and I breathed a sigh of relief when the technician said there was only one.  Now on to our homeschool week.

Bee had a good week for the most part.
She has struggled with staying on track and not taking forever with her math.  It can be so frustrating since she understands what she's suppose to do, but finds it, "too boring" to do it quickly.

Bug got to read a couple more very short sentences this week.
She is so proud of herself, but wants to learn faster.  I think we have another lover of reading.

Mr. Mister did better this week with potty training, but not as good in sitting during "school" time with his sisters.
Mr. Mister is super excited to become a big brother.  At first he wasn't too sure about a baby, but now he's excited.

Well, that was our week.  Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.  I love hearing from y'all.

Until next time,

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - August 6, 2016

Join me and Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers as we recap our week.

Hey y'all! How was your week? This week went really smoothly.  It is sometimes hard to keep myself on task when we start the school year early.  It's sad, but true.  Sometimes even Mama wants to slack off.  I'm hoping next week we can add in Wiggle Workshop at our local library.  Now on to our homeschool week.

Bee had a really good week. She's doing well in all of her subjects, but seems to be really excelling in her piano lessons.

She's doing so well, we are looking at having to purchase a new electronic keyboard for her. It would be great to get her a real piano, but we move to much for that.  I'm looking for a used weighted keyboard with pedals for her.

Bug had an exciting week. She ready her first sentence, "I am Sam." She was so excited, she had a hard time going to sleep that night.

She is doing great concentrating on her school work and staying focused during "school." I only wish I could say she was listening well the rest of the time.  She just has so much energy it's sometimes difficult to keep her busy while Bee finishes her school work.

Mr. Mister really seems to be struggling with his potty training this week. One day he woke up dry and stayed dry all day, and the next we went through most of his shorts and underwear.  The frustrating thing is he usually does very well when we are not at home.  Pray for me to have patients while I wait for things to "click" for him.

Mr. Mister is still doing well with entertaining himself while his sisters do school work.  He is rather excited that he gets to "do" Preschool next year.  Let's hope his enthusiasm last until next year.

Well, that was our week.  Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.  I love hearing from y'all.

Until next time,
