Can anyone tell me what time it is?

It is that time of year again.  There are school supplies in all the stores and kids and parents alike are counting down the days.  It's almost back to school time.  In our home we are really busy with last minute details that come with homeschooling.  Even though we homeschooled for preschool last year, I am finding that Kindergarten is bringing a whole world to our home.

Last year we did most of our learning out of workbooks, web sites, and print outs.  This year we purchased the whole Kindergarten curriculum from Memoria Press. (view it here)

We are also adding sign language to the curriculum.  I would love to be able to purchase the Signing Time Classroom Edition.  Until I can come up with the money, we are using Life Print's free online ASL lessons.

I am currently compiling a list of school supplies that I think I may need for the school year. I have to get everything from a chalk board to pencils and erasers.  I am sure there is something that I am missing.  If you have an ideas please share with me.

  1. We're wanting to start ASL, too!!! We started signing with our son, who is 13 months and it's always so thrilling when he uses his signs! I think it would be great for all of us to learn! :D Thanks for visiting my blog, btw!!!

  2. It sounds like you're off to a great start! We also used Life Print's in Kindergarten. We unfortunately fizzled out of it after the first year though. Wow, does time fly by! We will now be starting 4th grade this year. Where did the years go?
Good luck, and have a great year! I'm now following, and I look forward to reading more. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I love hearing from you.
