The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - October 25, 2014

In my life this week...  It has been one of those weeks where I feel like I'm losing my mind.  We are still waiting for the official offer for Mr. Daddy's promotion.  It has been 4 weeks since the interview and 2 weeks since we heard he was chosen.  I can't make any plans for birthdays or holidays because we have no way of knowing where we will be.
We celebrated Mr. Daddy's Birthday this week.  The kids and I got him a neck and back massager, which he loved.  We celebrated by making his favorite dinner of  meatloaf, homemade shells and cheese, and honey glazed baby carrots.  This year instead of a cake he asked for French Silk Pie, which I bought.  Maybe some day I'll attempt to make one for him from scratch.
In our homeschool this week... We have had another difficult week with plenty of sassiness and struggling.  I keep hoping it will get better, but I don't think it will until after the move.
Places we're going and people we're seeing...  No plans for anything special, but things can change from day to day.
My favorite thing this week was...  Coming up with a plan of action for Fall Festival costumes for the kids.
My kiddos favorite thing this week was... The girls were very excited to work on their Fall Festival costumes.  Bee is going to be Wonder Woman, Bug is going to be  Batgirl, Mr. Mister is going to be a Jedi.  We are creating our own costume rather then spend money on cheap poorly made ones from a store.
Things I'm working on...  I'll be working on the kids costumes, then I need to come up with a gift list for the remaining fall birthdays and Christmas.
I'm praying for...  I'm praying for stress free celebrations and holidays in the following months.
Something I am ogling or have my eye on...  I have been looking at all the different cut boots for fall.

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - October 18, 2014

In my life this week...  Mr. Daddy finally heard about the possible promotion.  The person he interviewed with called and said she wanted to offer him the job.  We are now waiting for the official offer.  We will not know if we are moving until then.  If the offer isn't good enough he will have to turn it down.  The constant state of not knowing is making me a little crazy.  The kids have been acting a little crazy too.
In our homeschool this week... Bee has been struggling with staying on track with her school work.  I'm considering dropping her Latin and maybe replacing it with Spanish or some other elective.
Places we're going and people we're seeing...  I'm hoping we will be making a trip to our new possible hometown soon,  This will only happen after we receive the official offer and we accept it.
My favorite thing this week was...  I really enjoyed getting to see our Sweet Southern friends new home.  They just closed on it this week and have started moving in.
My kiddos favorite thing this week was... The girls loved getting to run around our Sweet Southern friends new backyard.  It was huge and they had so much fun.
I'm praying for...  I'm still praying for peace and patience.

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - October 11, 2014

Join me, Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers and The Homeschool Mother's Journal as we recap our week.
In my life this week... We took all three kids to the dentist this week.  I am happy to report not a single cavity.  Mr. Mister did surprisingly well. I figured he would scream and fight it like Bug did, but he surprised us all.
I have really been struggling with being patient and waiting on God's timing.  Mr. Daddy's possible promotion is weighing heavy on everyone in the house.  I'm a little stressed about the possible move.  The girls are not to thrilled with the possibility of having to move and leave their friends and family behind.  The stressed in the house is so thick you can cut it with a butter knife. I'm not enjoying the sassy attitude and disrespectful tones at all.
In our homeschool this week... It has been an up and down week in our homeschool.  Bee really struggled to stay on track with her school work.  She can go from being way behind in her work to finishing the weeks worth of work before lunch on Thursday.
The excitement of Preschool is no longer there for Bug and she sometimes does so work and sometimes nothing.  Since she chose to start homeschooling before she needed to I'm not to worried about it.
My kiddos favorite thing this week was... The girls really enjoyed doing some fall themed coloring on Friday. My refrigerator is now covered with beautiful art.
Things I'm working on... I'm trying to come up with a fall birthday and/or Christmas gift list.
I'm grateful for... My AWESOME husband who stops and gets me a drink on the way home.
I'm praying for... I'm praying for peace and patience, as a result of my week.
Something I am ogling or have my eye on... I have started looking at winter coats again.  I'm hoping to find something unique and functional.

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - October 4, 2014

Join me and The Homeschool Mother's Journal as we recap our week.
In my life this week...  We were hoping to hear about Mr. Daddy's possible promotion this past Monday.  When we didn't hear on Monday. It was Friday before we even heard back and it was only to say it will be next Monday.   We were able to lift our spirits by spending time with our dear friends on Monday evening.  Fellowship with friends can be such a mood lifter.
Fall has show up this week in Kansas.  The leaves are changing and Friday the brisk weather came in also.  It makes me want to bake and make soup.
In our homeschool this week... We have made a couple different changes in how we are spending our time.  Bee is getting a one hour break during quiet time and she is doing an extra hour every night after her sister goes to bed.  She usually used the time after her sister goes to bed to do the next days Math and/or Latin.  It seems to be working better.
Helpful Homeschooling tips or advice to share... Sometimes you just have to change things up. Several times if necessary.
I'm grateful for... I'm grateful for the wonderful friendship we have made.
I'm praying for... I'm praying for peace and patience. Right now feels like a time of craziness.  We need patience to wait for the right decision and peace about the decision.
