The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - December 19, 2015

Hey y'all! How was your week? My week has been filled with the typical week before Christmas activities. All of the kids gifts had be bought and wrapped.  I must say our tree looks silly without gifts under it, but Mr. Mister and Bug won't leave them alone.  I had to put them all up in a closet after one day of them being under the tree.  I guess it will be a couple of years until we can have them out.  We finished up our last week of homeschooling for 2015 on Friday.  We are planning on taking two weeks off for Christmas break.  Now, on to our homeschool week.

Bee really worked hard this last week and was able to finish her school work on Thursday.  She was so proud of finishing this year with a 100% on her Robin Hood quiz. She was really excited to do crafts with Bug and Mr. Mister.

Bug has had a really difficult time behaving this last week.  I'm sure all the extra sugar and activities haven't helped, but she's really pushing my buttons.  She did a good job finishing her school work once she calmed down enough to focus.  We were even able to do a couple of crafts at the end of the week.

Mr. Mister seems to have decided he likes using the big boy potty this week.  He has gone several times and stayed dry for longer and longer periods of time.  He still wants to wear diapers and when he tries on his underwear he wants to wear them like pants.  He also enjoyed the crafts we did at the end of the week.

Well, that was our week.  Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.  I love hearing from y'all.

Until next time,

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - December 12, 2015

Hey y'all! How was your week? I'm sorry I have been missing in action, but we took off a week for Thanksgiving break. I was getting ready to write up last weeks blog post when the flu hit our home.  It wasn't pretty and most of the family caught it. I feel like it has taken this week to get back to normal.
November's Fandom of the Month Club Unboxing

I still haven't gotten my YouTube video for November's Fandom of the Month Club unboxing edited yet, so sad. I was late getting this post up, so on to our homeschool week.

Bee has done well getting back on track after our week off for Thanksgiving. She is looking forward to one last week of schoolwork and then Christmas break!

Bug has had a difficult time staying focused enough to get through her work.  It's taking longer than normal for me to get her through her lessons. I think the only thing that has kept her motivated has been the crafts. Her sister and brother really enjoyed making jingle bells too.

Mr. Mister was the first to catch the flu.  He did recover after two days, but remained crabby for the remainder of the week.  He has developed new ways to show his orneriness. His new one is to hold your face between his hands and say, "You're cute." He usually does this after he's been naughty and ends it with a kiss.

Well, that was our week.  Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.  I love hearing from y'all.

Until next time,

I'm thankful for K-LOVE and Christian radio.  It is so nice to not have to worry about what song may come on next.  My kids are very good at hearing a song one time and then being able to sing it.  I don't have to worry about them singing the songs on these stations. What are you thankful for today?

The Homeschool Weekly Buzz - November 21, 2015

Join me, Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers, and  Parent Teacher Meet-Up as we recap our week.

Hey y'all! How was your week? My week has been fairly busy.  We are planning on taking all of next week off for Thanksgiving so we have plenty to get done.  Last weekend we made Mr. Daddy's favorite peanut butter cookies.  The girls love to help with making Christmas cookies and were very excited that I decided to make cookies.  Mr. Daddy was just excited to get some peanut butter cookies.

We did receive some unexpected news this past week.  We already knew we would be spending Thanksgiving just our family.  Mr. Daddy has to work on Wednesday and Black Friday, so we would have to make the 12 hour drive in one day. This wasn't a big deal since we had penciled in Mr. Daddy having the two days after Christmas off, so we could visit our family in the Kansas City area.  This week Mr. Daddy found out that he will not have those days off.  We had to explain to tell the girls we would be spending Christmas just us.  They were bummed about not getting to see their grandparents, but thank goodness for Skype. I'm happy that they took it well. Now on to our homeschool week.

Bee did a great job of completing her work.  I'm sure the motivation of having next week off was helpful.  She had a little bit of trouble with math this week.  She is doing multiplication of three digits times three digits.  The instructions said for her to check her work and she was getting frustrated with how long the process was taking.
The Gingerbread kids!
She loved doing a craft with Bug and Mr. Mister and finishing her school work on Friday.

Bug has had a bit of a difficult week.  We have had more then one day where she had to have a break to recover from a meltdown.

She did manage to complete all of her work for the week and we were able to do a Gingerbread man craft and come Thanksgiving coloring.

Mr. Mister has been full of sass this week. He continues to assert his will in new and interesting ways.  My once good eater is now fond of throwing food on the floor.  How toddlers can try a mama's patience.  We are continuing to encourage any interest he shows in trying to potty train.  He has gone potty several times this week and I hope this is a sign of an easy transition.

Well, that was our week.  Thank you for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment.  I love hearing from y'all.
Until next time,
